      1. Choose a well-draining location in sun to part shade

      2. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball

      3. Set the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface

      4. Backfill, firm the soil, and water thoroughly

      5. Space plants 12–18 inches apart for groundcover or allow to trail freely in containers

      6. Water regularly during establishment; reduce frequency once mature

      7. Pinch back stems to promote fullness and prevent legginess
